Sunshine Daydream

Tis the season to be out in the sun. Although, I didn't think about sunscreen and Eric, Sam and Josie ended up with slight sunburn after our afternoon at the park. Gosh the sun felt good though and the air was still cool making it a perfect spring day.

Spring Soccer

We are half way through soccer season and as always Sam is having a great time. We had 2 games this weekend, Sam had 1 goal and several assists. As you can see he smiles a lot when he plays soccer. He has a really good coach this year and for the most part he has a good team. Sam is the power kicker on his team and has no fear in going after the ball. I like to sit on the sidelines and scream direction, I mean cheer the boys on.

The District Derby Race

What can we say, well, out of 52 cars, we came in 50th place. We decided to alter the weight of car based on what we had learned from the first race. Thinking we had given ourselves an advantage by making the changes...well it was a different kind of track. So we ended up given ourselves a disadvantage. Oh well, there is always next year.

Spring Break

I forgot my camera for nearly the whole week, so here is a quick run down. Pappy came to visit and we went and celebrated Great-Grandma's 85 birthday. It was a wonderful visit and I think Verona was thrilled to have the family together. Both kids had swim lessons and did Awesome. Josie's teacher called her a little fish and Sam got a refresher course so he will be ready for swim team in a month. One thing is true both my children love the water. They went to Grandma's for a few days and she took them to the movies to see Monsters Vs. Aliens. Which also gave Eric and I a few nights off and we took the opportunity to go out to the movies ourselves. I drove up and met up with the kids in time for an egg hunt at Grandma's church. Just before Easter we met Bepe, Uncle Sean, Aunt Heather, Daisy and Jack at a windy park to color Easter eggs and play. Easter was nice and laid back. After church the kids enjoyed snacking on the candy from their baskets and playing with a few new toys. During spring break we kept the kids as busy as possible and I don't know about them, but I am ready to get back on a normal schedule.
