The Ninja meets the Mermaid

Once upon a time there was a Ninja dressed in black.

And a beautiful Mermaid who loved Candy. Their meeting left them both dazed and confused about what adventures may lie ahead of them on this very night. The Ninja giggled.

When the Mermaid gave her cutest pose.

Suddenly a stranger approached and the Ninja promised to protect her.

When they saw it was the Halloween Prophet, they did not fear him.

Off into the wilderness they went together in search of goodies.

Until they met up with there best friends Princess Butterfly and Grim Reaper. The four of them spent the evening going door to door collecting sweets.

Haunted Mansion

Sam's class had to make a haunted room for a haunted mansion. They attached the shoe boxes together to make the mansion. I thought this was a cool idea and Sam's room was a Witch's Potion Room. Here is the result...and yes, our witch is Marge Simpson.

Eric attended Josie's Fall Festival at school this week. Her whole class was suppose to be spiders as hey went around and did the activities.

Homeless

Eric recently went with our church and a driven man named pastor 7 under the bridges of our city to feed the homeless. As you can imagine Eric was changed by the experience. The following day we had a passionate young man named Drew Benton come speak to our church. Drew asked "Who is the greatest man to ever live?" Everyone said Jesus. Drew asked "Besides Jesus?" Mother Teresa, MLK, Ghandi were all shouted back at him. Then he asked "What made them great?" "They all lived like Jesus....what are you doing to live great?" Eric is back down town this morning serving at a special event called Atlanta Homeless Connect to help get the homeless the tools they need to get off the street. They also get showers, food, and medical attention while they are there. We went on top of the mountain with Eric's Mom, brother and his family to see the pumpkin patch and a good view.

16 Hour Camping

We headed out to the lake for a camping trip. Just before we left we checked the weather and saw that there was 70% chance of rain in the morning. I was saying there is only 30% chance it will rain...I should of known the odds were against us. I don't know what it is lately, but when it rains here it pours. No, light sprinkles for us only swollen droplets pelting us for days. The weather started out perfect and although I wasn't planning on the kids going swimming I should of know when there is water they will swim. So we haven't been at the camp site 45 minutes and we were already on our 2nd set of clothes. We cooked hot dogs & smores over the fire, rode our bikes and went exploring It started raining around 4AM and about 7 AM I saw a flash of lightening and knew that we could no longer stay 10 feet from the lake, under a home of fabric and metal poles. I woke Eric and said, start packing...considering it was still dark out he said "what?" Good thing I woke up when I did because water was coming in the windows and within an hour we would of been soaked. 16 hours after we left home we were back, I wonder if that qualifies as the shortest camping trip ever?

Blessing

Some would say Blessing, some would say faith, others would say that it is a miracle or just unbelievable....either way we are grateful. We don't know who, but someone at church has bought us a new furnace. Thank you whomever you are.
