Easter Garden

One of my new favorite blogs had some ideas for celebrating Easter with your family. One was the Easter Garden and I thought it was a great activity to do with the kids and give them a visual of Jesus tomb. We used only weeds from around the yard to create our garden. I made the tomb from some old clay left over from one of Sam's projects.

Puppies

While visiting Aunt Heather we got to peak in on some 3 week old puppies. Everyone loves to cuddle with babies.

Adventures at Grandma's Lake House

We headed up to Grandma's house (even thought she is out of town) to visit my sister before she moves. It was a beautiful day and we did lots of things.

Fished with a friend.

Chased girls.

and hung with new friends.

Work Out

Josie loves having the exercise bike in the living room.

She has some style to her work out.

Squidy-Squidy

I saw this in a magazine and thought I would try it out. It is suppose to be octopus or squid, but obviously it is just hot dog with noodles. You put the noodles in the bottom of cut hot dog before you put it in the water.

Josie named this one squidy-squidy. Could be why she had a hard time eating it.

Josie wasn't very thrilled and just ate the "tentacles" off. Sam loved all of it.

Alice

Since I go to the movies about once a year I try to make it be something I'll enjoy or it will be something I can tolerate, but the kids will enjoy. Today was about me and what I want, however, I decided Sam could come with me since it was PG and I thought he might enjoy it as well. We went to see Alice in Wonderland at the IMAX in 3D. Sam thought the movie was really cool. I loved how all the strong charters were woman!

Mommy/Josie Shopping

I decided Josie and I would attempt to go shopping at the mall together. She has shown an interest in head bands lately and I thought it would be nice to go look at some together. It started off great she was oohing and ahhing everything with the big eyes. Then it moved on to touching everything which is always followed by knocking things on to the floor. Well after about 5 minutes of shopping I announced we are leaving. We got a few items and left, but not before taking a quick spin on the carousel. I think maybe Mommy/Josie shopping trips will need to wait another year until Josie can show she has some self control.

Disc Golf

Eric used to go frisbee golfing all the time when I first met him. Of course, he lived really close to a course back then too. When we moved where we did we looked up the closes course and both were 45 minutes away. Sadly I think Eric has only been 2 or 3 times since we were married, until today. Sam cub scout den went frisbee golfing this morning and Eric was the leader's helper. Turns out they just built a disc golf course about 20 minutes from us. They had a really good time and I think the boys may have found a sport they boy enjoy doing!

Free Gold

Sam had to make a Leprechaun trap for a school project. They set the traps up, but didn't catch one. Instead a note was left that said "Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, you didn't really think you could catch me."

Hoops

We have spent the last several days dog sitting my cousin's boston terrier, Hooper (Hoops.) We have never had a small dog in our lives and it was a little different than having a big dog. This was a true lap dog so where ever you were sitting he was right there. I didn't think I would like having a dog sitting right with me, but I did. The kids loved Hoops and we took him everywhere with us, including to the dog park twice. Sam insisted he sit on his lap in the car and he slept with the kids every night. I will admit Hoops has given me a different perspective on small dogs and a different level of companionship you can have with them.

Sam lost his top front tooth. It amazes me how different your child can look with a big hole in the front of their mouth. I just keep smiling at him.
